The COOL Cooperative is excited to announce that our award-winning Cool Cooperative Filmmaking Camp is returning this summer--
and we’re looking for the right creative partner to bring a new short film to life.
Each year, our free, immersive program gives middle- and high-school students an unprecedented, hands-on introduction to the film industry. Hosted at Second Line Stages, students spend four intensive weeks working in the film department of their choosing—camera, sound, costuming, production design, AD, producing, and more—under the mentorship of professional department heads. It’s a crash course in creativity, collaboration, and the sheer joy of making movies.
For Summer 2026, we are inviting filmmakers to submit short-film scripts to be produced in partnership with The COOL Cooperative, with production costs and logistics covered by our organization. All filming must take place in the month of June.
