kirby VossExecutive Director
Kirby Voss realized he was meant to be a filmmaker at age 14, after a late-night screening of “Dr. Strangelove.” He has directed three feature films, the second of which was distributed by Indican productions, ad the third of which is in the final stages of post-production. Kirby is a proud member of the WGA, a certified DaVinci Resolve Instructor, Arri Alexa certified, and a graduate of both Loyola University New Orleans and the Global Cinematography Institute. He previously taught cinematography at the Shanghai Vancouver Film School, and in his free time he enjoys studying Mandarin Chinese and the films of Tarkovsky, RW Fassbinder, Lean, and Bergman, among others.

Trevor kravits
Instructor -- High School
Trevor Kravits is an award-winning filmmaker, actor and live event producer living in New Orleans. Hailing from Chicago, Trevor cut his teeth on the sketch comedy stages of Chicago. After graduating from the inaugural class of Second City's Harold Ramis Film School, he moved to New Orleans to pursue independent filmmaking, producing live events and educating young people. Trevor has previously taught film, acting for the camera and improv at The Second City and Columbia College Chicago's Art Start program. Trevor is currently the senior instructor at the COOL cooperative.

Javier Torres
Instructor -- Middle School
Javier Torres is currently a middle school film instructor with the COOL Cooperative. He has spent time in Prague, CZ where he was mentored in the FAMU 16mm Filmmaking program. Javier graduated in 2016 with a Bachelors in Film and Media production from the University of Rochester. He has extensive on set experience in the professional filmmaking world as well as experience creating his own short films.
